Purdue University Global Application Requirements

The application and admissions requirements for Purdue University Global aren’t that challenging. If someone wants to become a student, they must apply for admission. Students can request more information about a particular area of study, can sign up for the trial, or click the ‘apply now’ button on the website.

Students should complete the request for more information form and then speak to an Advisor who can help them through the rest of the steps. Students can also ask the advisor about scheduling a tour of the campus if they are applying to one of the campus locations.

Students must have an informational interview with an advisor and make financial arrangements to pay for school before being allowed to complete coursework. Students must also have all the documents necessary for admission, and these documents have to be approved. It is also likely that students going for technical, medical, and legal areas of study are going to have more requirements before being admitted to the college. It is up to the student to find out what these requirements are and ensure that everything is completed by the appropriate date.

Most students are also going to need a computer/laptop with 10 GB hard-drive space, a CD-ROM drive, sound card, and high-speed internet.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Purdue University Global has a variety of ways to help students save money on tuition. Students can get experiential learning credits, transfer credits, and work with a Tuition Cap program to help pay for college.

Students can also take advantage of student loans and grants. Grants are monies that are awarded without the requirement of paying it back while loans must be repaid based on the terms of the agreement with the lender.

The tuition cap helps students save money. If a student enrolls in a program that participates in the Tuition Cap, the tuition is capped at a fixed amount throughout the education. Once students have paid the amount to the cap, they don’t have to make any more payments for their education, even if they must retake a course.
