Colorado Technical University has many degree programs, but the most popular offerings are in business, technology, and management. Within these and other fields there are many concentrations and specialties. The school has five associate degree programs, several master’s programs and twenty doctoral degrees from which to choose. While some degrees are offered only on campus or only online, the majority are available either way.

There are associate of science degrees in accounting, business administration, electronic technology, information technology, and management. The Associate of Science in Management degree is available on campus or online. It teaches students the fundamentals of business and management including managing teams and projects. The program has a global focus. Courses can be applied to a bachelor’s degree in management. There are 93 credit hours in the program, but students can take advantage of the Fast Track option to bypass courses they have already mastered.

CTU has several bachelor’s degree programs in business administration. Students may earn a Bachelor of Business Administration-Business Development, Bachelor of Business Administration in Data Analytics, Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Marketing, Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Bachelor of Business Administration in Healthcare Management, Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Technology, Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business, Bachelor of Business Administration in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, in Marketing, in Organizational Behavior, in Project Management in Public Administration or as a generalist degree.

There are six computing degree programs including a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, in Computer Science, in Computer Science-Cybersecurity and others. The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice is a degree program that may be earned as a generalist, or with a concentration in Cybercrime and Security, in Forensic Investigations, in Homeland Security and Emergency Management or in Human Services. The program contains 182 credit hours but allows students to bypass some requisites through the Fast Track tests. The core courses give students a broad overview of corrections, administration of justice, theory of criminology, law adjudication and law enforcement. The general education component of the degree program contains 66 credit-hours. The core consists of 56 hours and there are 60 hours of concentration courses including Introduction to Criminalistics, Data Analysis in Criminal Justice, Criminal Investigation, Interview and Interrogation, and a capstone. Students choose twenty hours of elective credits to complete the program.

There are bachelor’s programs in Cybersecurity, in Electrical Engineering ( an on-campus only program), In Healthcare Management, offered as a generalist degree or in Health Informatics, Information Technology, in Psychology and in other areas including Nursing. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is an RN-to-BSN degree program containing 180 credits. It is entirely online. Students must complete the Associate in Nursing program as the first two years of the degree. That program is included in the 180 credit hours required for graduation. There are 48 required courses in the core including Challenges and Trends in Contemporary Nursing, Population-Based Nursing, Innovation in Nursing and others. There is also a 28.5 credit component that consists of Registered Nurse License Transfer.

Master’s degree programs at Colorado Technical University include the Master’s of Business Administration in Accounting, in Data Analytics, in Entrepreneurship, in Finance, in Global Leadership, in Healthcare Management, Human Resources Management, Logistics Management, Marketing, Operations Supply Chain Management, Project Management, and Technology Management. There is also an MBA, six master’s degree programs in computers and computer sciences, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, three offerings in Master’s of Healthcare Management degrees, five graduate degrees in Information Technology, eight in Management, three master’s programs in Nursing and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering.

Colorado Technical University has twenty doctoral-level programs including the Doctor of Management-Organizational Behavior Development and Change. This is an online program, but it has a residency component during a seminar. The 100-credit program can be completed in three years. It features course material in three areas: Research and Writing, Leadership and Change Management and the specific concentration discipline. The required dissertation research and development hours are included in the program-required hours.

This for-profit school began in 1965 as Colorado Technical College with the objective of providing training in technology and vocations for returning military personnel. In 1995, the name was changed to Colorado Technical University, but the school continues its emphasis on military students. A large percentage of its operating budget comes from governmental military educational funding. Students applying to CTU as first-time freshmen should arrange to meet with an admissions counselor. They should then complete the online application form and submit it, along with proof of secondary education such as a transcript. There is no application fee.

Students must check with the programs they desire to enter for additional requisites.

Tuition and Financial Aid

The estimated cost of an associate degree at CTU is $30,225. A bachelor’s program costs approximately $55,492. Master’s programs cost about $26,937, and doctoral degree programs cost an estimated $57,408. The exact cost of a degree program will depend upon prior credits and advanced standing. The cost per credit is $317 for undergraduate courses and $540 for graduate courses. This school has no available housing.

Students who need help paying for their degree programs at CTU should first complete the FAFSA form. This government program uses student financial information to award grants, loans, and work-study opportunities. Colorado has some state aid available to students including the Colorado Student Grant and other programs for people of special populations defined by race, gender or other factors.

Besides government assistance, Colorado Technical University offers assistance in the form of the Advantage Grant, the CTU Corporate Alliances Grant, The CTU Higher Education Alliances Grant, and the Lifelong Learning Grant.
