When looking for an internship as a business major, it is crucial that you search for a company that does the kind of work you want to be doing. If you want to be in financial planning, don’t apply at Nickelodeon just because it sounds like fun. You want to be working in a financial planning firm. And the opposite is also true. Don’t go to a tax firm if you really want to work in entertainment. Whatever internship you choose, make sure you take full advantage of the opportunity. The more you ask and the more motivated you are, the further you will go, sooner, in your career.
